Local Coaches’ Training Program at BKSP Regional Centre, Barishal

Special Olympics Bangladesh (SOBD) successfully organized 02 days long Local Coaches’ Training Program on 11 – 12 Aug 2026. The Theoretical session was held on 11 Aug 2026 through online and practical session was held on 12 Aug 2026 at the BKSP Regional Training Centre, Barishal with the valuable support of the Local Special Olympics Organizer of Barishal District and BKSP. A total of 31 local coaches from Barishal District participated.

Mr. Mortuza Iqbal Nuri, Athletic Coach conducted basic Athletics training, while Mr. Abdur Razzaque, Football Coach, covered the fundamentals of Football, focusing on simple and athlete-friendly coaching techniques. Mr. Shameem Al Mamun, Manager–Sports, SOBD, conducted a workshop on coaching ethics, safeguarding and responsibilities of coaching working with Athletes with ID.
